Chapter 1: Eyeshot

"EyeshotGroup exhibition

Gallery The Book is proud to present its first nomadic exhibition, Eyeshot, at 67 York Street Gallery in Marylebone, London, from the 3rd to the 6th of July 2026.

Eyeshot brings together a selection of emerging artists from London's top art schools whose practices share an attention to what lies beyond first impressions. Across paintings, photography, embroidery and ceramics, the exhibition brings together works that resist immediate understanding and instead reveal themselves gradually, through time, attention, and proximity.

The exhibition proposes a slower encounter. The works presented here ask viewers to linger: to notice textures before images and surfaces before narratives. Meaning does not arrive all at once. It emerges through observation.

Each artist approaches this invitation differently. Some explore the accumulation of material and detail; others investigate the instability of perception, the transformation of surfaces, or the invisible emotional and physical forces that shape our experience of the world. Yet all share a belief that looking is not passive. It is an active process through which understanding is constructed.

Eyeshot features the works of Paolo Bensimon, Olivia Rym, Ela Hsu, Zoe Slater and Rowan Meredith. All artworks featured in this exhibition are available for acquisition.
